WHY PICTURE BOOKS ARE USUALLY 24, 32, OR 40 PAGES

Hi, children's books lovers! Many of you might appreciate seeing exactly why picture book page counts are in multiples of eight, i.e. 24, 32, or 40 pages. Check out these "behind the book-making scenes" pix of my book, ANNIE'S PLAID SHIRT.

There are 8 pages (or half spreads) on each print sheet.  4 of these sheets = 32 page picture book. :-)  Print manager, Helga, is in the pic below, doing a "press check" and making sure my book looks great!

A few weeks after that pic was taken, I received my books!  Ta da!  (p.s. I'm in love with them.)

Brief summary: Annie wears her plaid shirt every day, but is pressured to wear a dress to a wedding. Will she find a way to stay true to herself?

SIGNED AND PERSONALIZED copies can be purchased at www.upswingpress.com. The book is also available at Amazon. ISBN#: 978-0-692-51245-6
