Novel and Picture Book Plotting with the Eight C's template

I love studying structure and plot! Check out the template below by Lara Willard. It's meant for novels, but it can be applied to picture books, too. This approach is called: PLOTTING WITH THE EIGHT C'S. Enjoy! (Click or tap to enlarge pic.) Here's a list of the 8 C's included in the chart above: Captivation, Change, Complication, Confrontation, Collapse, Comprehension, Curveball, Culmination

Novel and Picture Book Plotting with the Eight C's template

Hello everyone! This is my first NEWS post on my re-designed website! At this time, I'm waiting for illustrations to be completed for my self/indie published picture book. Much more about that later. I'm looking forward to sharing helpful writing and publishing-related articles, especially related to children's books. I love studying story structure. So, we'll start with the basics. Here are two graphics I like very much. Enjoy!  Picture credits: The Hello Pledge and teachingmyfriends.blogspot.com. BTW, below are my Facebook and Twitter links, if you want to "Like" and "Follow."
